Our Witness

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
Acts 1:8

“By their fruit you will recognise them.”
      Matthew 7:16

Our identity as followers of Jesus Christ is important to us.  Jesus commands his followers to be his witnesses. Empowered by the Holy Spirit we testify to what God has done and continues to do in our lives – the facts and the events.  We witness to the truth, the good news that because of Jesus – his death and resurrection – we are able to benefit from forgiveness of our sins, a new life and intimate relationship with God.

Our lives are a key part of witness.  We work to develop and maintain strong, mutually supportive relationships with each other, members of our communities, schools, churches and organisations.  Through our relationships and interactions we strive to demonstrate the value we place on people and maintaining unity and peace as far as we are able. Guided and encouraged by the Spirit we hope to develop and show love, joy, peace, humility, goodness, kindness, faithfulness, patience, gentleness and self-control – testifying to the new life that we have in Jesus.
